This policy describes how information is handled on this website (chrisnorrislaw.com) and in connection with voice calls and text messages (SMS/MMS) to and from my direct phone line, (415) 692-1501. This site and phone line are operated by me, Chris Norris, personally.
Information Collected by This Website
This website is informational only. It has no accounts, forms, comments, analytics, or advertising, and it does not set tracking cookies. Like most web servers, it may record standard technical logs (such as IP address, requested page, and browser type) for security and troubleshooting; these logs are not used to identify visitors and are not shared with anyone.
Information Collected Through Messaging
If you call or text me, I receive your phone number and the content of your messages, just as with any personal phone. I use that information only to communicate with you. Messages are transmitted through my telephone service provider, which processes them as necessary to deliver the service.
How Mobile Information Is Shared
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
I do not sell, rent, trade, or otherwise disclose phone numbers, message content, or any other personal information to anyone, except where disclosure is required by law or necessary for my service provider to deliver calls and messages.
Client Communications
If you are a client of my firm and communicate with me about your matter, that communication is additionally protected by the attorney–client privilege and professional confidentiality obligations, and is handled in accordance with my firm’s own policies.
Opting Out
You may stop receiving text messages from me at any time by replying STOP, or simply by asking me not to text you. See the Messaging Terms for details.
